China's Iron and Steel Industry Responds to U.S. 337 Investigation

The US International Trade Commission ruled on the 19th that it had decided to terminate the 337 antitrust investigation of the Chinese steel by the plaintiff, US Steel, indicating that the “337 investigation” of China Steel had been terminated. The head of the China Iron and Steel Association made a statement in Beijing on the 20th and expressed satisfaction with this decision.

On March 19, 2018, the US International Trade Commission ruled that it had decided to terminate the 337 anti-monopoly investigation of the Chinese steel by the plaintiff, US Steel. The committee ruled that the plaintiff applying for an anti-monopoly investigation needed to have anti-monopoly damage, but the plaintiff could not prove that it suffered. The anti-monopoly damages do not have the plaintiff qualifications for this suit. At this point, the "337 investigation" of China Steel was terminated. In the “337 investigation”, China won all three complaints about anti-monopoly, theft of trade secrets, and fictitious origin.
